On Wednesday 30 October, Centre researchers, staff, partners and advisory committee members were joined by distinguished guests at the University of Adelaide Waite Campus for our official launch event.
We thank University of Adelaide Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Anton Middelberg FTSE FNAI, Rob Taylor, University of Adelaide Vice-Chancellor and President Peter Hoj AC, Acting Australian Research Council CEO Richard Johnson, Member for Boothby Louise Miller-Frost MP - B App Sc, MA, MPH, MBA, FAICD and Member for Waite Catherine Hutchesson MP for their attendance, insights and contributions to proceedings.
Following the official opening, the evening included a joint presentation from Centre Director Professor Matthew Gilliham and Deputy Directors Professor Sally Gras and Professor Melissa de Zwart, an immersive Mars experience and a menu featuring potential space crop, duckweed.
