ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space (P4S) experiments were sent into space on Monday 11 November, aboard a sounding rocket launched by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as part of its MAPHEUS 15 mission.
The rocket contained the MiniWeed and StarMed experiments, conducted by P4S researchers in collaboration with Dr Jens Hauslage (DLR), as well as other projects from La Trobe University.
The MiniWeed experiment will test how altered gravity affects duckweed, while StarMed will test the reliably of medicines created in space.
Learn more about these experiments in a recent article from the University of Adelaide Newsroom.
