Free teacher professional learning event in Melbourne, March 27 and March 28

While our resources are not online yet, we do invite teacher in Victoria to join us for our first FREE teacher professional learning event on March 27 and March 28.

This event will be an interactive workshop to learn about Plants for Space research, and explore our teaching and learning resources. Furthermore, we will share ideas to enrich the classroom learning materials and together, we will develop materials relevant for your classroom.

Plants for Space is developing plants to grow in space, to feed space explorers on future missions to the Moon and Mars. By learning how to grow crops in extreme environments, new technologies and approaches will be developed to grow food more sustainably on Earth. Workshop topics include effects of microgravity on plant development, ecosystems, cell structure and function, food production, sustainability and science as a human endeavour as applied to the space context.
